Philanthropy

Annually, the Whitefish Bay Garden Club fundraises and allocates a percentage of its net proceeds as donations to other non-profit organizations and projects.  Members of the Club identify nonprofit organizations in the local community, the wider Milwaukee area, and the  state that have missions supporting and aligned with our mission “to stimulate an interest in horticulture, develop gardens, protect our natural surroundings, and beautify civic grounds.” The Club votes to approve donation recipients each year. Organizations we have supported include Riveredge Nature Center, The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Teens Grow Green, Bird City, Wild Ones, The Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee Riverkeeper, and Alice’s Garden. In addition, we have supported The Isabel Lillie Scholarship Fund.
